Special Services Teacher/Coordinator
Work collaboratively with general education teachers, counselors, and administrators in supporting an effective school culture for students with Individualized Education Program (IEPs), 504’s and/or identified needs for accommodations. Work directly with students in meeting individual needs. Develop IEPs or 504’s, lead team meetings, and conduct progress monitoring. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements. Partner with general education teachers on best practices and strategies for accommodations and meeting diverse learner needs. Coordinate the ESOL and MTSS federal programs, implementing strategies and programs within the general education classroom and school environment.
Candidates must hold South Carolina Certification in Special Education.
Preferred candidates will have a strong understanding of current and emerging best practices including project-based learning, educational technologies, personalized learning, and effective transition strategies.
Candidates must possess a desire to work with a diverse population of learners and meet their individual needs in a caring, collaborative, and flexible environment.
