Duties: Provides direct and indirect speech therapy services as indicted on student IEPs and monitors student progress. Evaluates students to determine need for Speech/Language services, completes written evaluation report, and develops IEPs as appropriate. Writes progress reports and summaries of treatment for Medicaid and ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Attends IEP meeting as required.
Qualifications: Must possess Master's Degree or above in Speech-Language Pathology (Communication Disorders). Requires a teacher licensure with SC Department of Education in Speech Correction. Knowledge of methods and evaluation techniques are required for delivery of therapy services to students who are deaf, blind and multi-sensory disabled. This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.
