High School English Teacher

Overview of Position: Brashier Middle College Charter High School is currently accepting applications for a high school English teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking for a candidate with experience in a high school setting and one who is passionate about supporting student growth.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitating the mastery of South Carolina English standards through direct instruction, small group work, and innovative instructional strategies
• Being a part of the BMCCHS teaching staff and developing opportunities for collaboration across departments
• Ensuring compliance with all state, federal, school level, and assessment requirements
• Enthusiastically taking on other duties as assigned and proactively pitching in wherever needed to make each day run smoothly and safely. 

Education, Experience, and Skills desired:

• Bachelor's Degree in subject area or related field.
• High School Certification or desire to complete necessary steps for certification.
• Experience with High School students. 
• Experience developing and motivating teenagers with the belief that all students can learn and grow. 
• Creative problem solver. 

Salary: The Brashier Middle College Charter High School pay scale is aligned with the local GCS pay scale.
