Under supervision of Principal (designee or other appropriate administrator), serve as the Elementary teacher, to create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for upper elementary grade education in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may include, but not limited to the following)
QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree of related subject from accredited university. Teacher certification from the South Carolina State Department of Education and current fingerprint clearance card are required. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is in school site settings. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. MEDICAL BENEFITS: The Elementary School Teacher shall receive the same health benefits as other full-time certificated employees of the school PAID TIME OFF (PTO): The Elementary School Teacher shall be required to follow a (ten) 10-month work schedule. The Elementary School Teacher shall be granted eight (8) paid time off (PTO) days annually. Calculated and prorated on an annualized basis upon approval by the Board. SALARY RANGE: $43,250 - $65,250 |
