Under the direction of the principal and Director of Special Education, the speech-language pathologist’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to providing evidenced based therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and teacher consultation.
Requirements:
Must hold a South Carolina certificate as a Speech-Language Pathologist or be eligible for certification
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow Applicants
Licensed by South Carolina Board of Examiners-LLR
Responsibilities
Screens, evaluates, and diagnoses speech/language disorders and determines student eligibility for enrollment in the speech/language program.
Develops goals, objectives, methods, and materials to assist students in achieving their highest potential.
Provides a therapeutic program to meet the individual needs of Speech-Language Impaired students
