Duties:  Plans and provides music educational services to students at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind - primarily working with visually impaired children and children with multiple disabilities as appropriate during the academic day and in the after school art clubs program.   Carries out a program of academic/rehabilitation instruction in accordance with the Fine Arts State Standards: monitors individual student progress and revises teaching materials, methods and techniques as appropriate; teaches students to use a variety of adaptive devices and instruments.  Plans and carries out a classroom management program in the classroom; advises students of acceptable behavior and corrects student behavior using the SCSDB Positive Behavior Support model and the SCSDB Student Code of Conduct.  Makes necessary referrals; contacts parents concerning student success and involvement in student productions.   Teaches based on individual student needs and state standards; plans and...

The Role Our school goal is that 100% of students meet their growth targets on the MAP assessment and we want to ensure that all students are working at or above their grade level expectations by the end of the year.
