High Point Academy is looking for a highly qualified, energetic Theatre Instructor for the 2020-2021 school year. The instructor will utilize the SC Academic Standards for the Visual and Performing Arts to plan innovative and challenging lessons in theatre. A successful candidate must demonstrate the competencies and behaviors needed to improve student preparedness and mastery and to support the values, vision, and mission of High Point Academy and the South Carolina Public Charter School District.
Responsibilities:
Possess basic acting and technical theatre knowledge and hold an appropriate teaching license
Design and deliver instruction based on the academic standards for Fine Arts Education for Theatre
Facilitate student learning experiences that are process-based and include improvisation and creative drama
Promote a classroom culture of Arts scholarship and uphold high standards for school-wide collaboration and creative culture
